Etiquette and Importance of Dressing :

Dresses are an important part of our life which cannot be neglected easily. It not only covers our body it also gives us protection from weather. It defines your personality, gives an introduction about culture and defines your social status also. 

Basic needs and benefits: 

protection from weather:
Dress is essential to protect the body from sunlight, heat, rain and cold waves. 

Covering the body: 

Dress is necessary for covering the body sensitive parts. 

personal health and hygiene: 

Clothing also protects our body from viral infections and Dirt

Social and cultural significance of clothing :

showing respect :In various cultures, people use dress as an identification and express social status through dressing, which plays Vital role to express their profession. It introduces or defines their culture and also defines people’s social status in the society and connects us with others.

Psychological effect of clothing :

increase in confidence: Proper clothing not only increases our confidence level but it also releases good Vibes and it gives good Impressions. 

self identification: dressing is not only the way to give yourself a good grade among others but it also gives a good impression of your two others 

first impression: dressing is the only way to create a good and strong impression of another as it defines our professional and personal life. Dress is not only important to look good but it also demonstrates our personal life. 

There are certain ways which we have to follow to dress properly according to our society, social nouns and dress gives a good Vibe and positive thoughts boost our confidence level and more too.

There are certain events on which we have to dress accordingly so we have to dress properly according to the event 

Marriage: Usually we celebrate marriage by wearing Shiny embroidered motif outfits however we have to choose the dress according to our social norms. 

Office: To work in office we have to wear simple professional and comfortable dress by wearing a graceful outfit we can enhance our personality and we can show our grooming on our professional place in a best way 

party: We dress differently to enjoy and slash our souls to attend different events and we have to invite different people to the parties. Party dressing totally depends on the event. Rather, you are throwing a party as a guest and you are attending a party as a guest. There are formal parties and informal parties which we attend. 

Simplicity and cleanliness: 

Instead of going to the brands all the time  A proper dress or a simple dress gives you  good fitting  if a dress is proper iron ,neatly stitched, refined fabric  gives you confidence,  helping you to  enhance your image in society.

colors and Designs play a significant role as a defines our choices our tradition our grooming and also picture is our personality.

Colors  plays a vital role as it define river mental condition be dress properly and be dress differently like if we are going to at end if you are going to attend or paying condolence to someone then we have to wear light colors and if we attend parties then we wear bright colors white color is normally considered as a color of dignity Grace and peace

Not every cut and design suits each and everyone. body structure ,  skin color , age group  helps you a lot in choosing  proper dress & designs. 

Covering the sensitive parts of body:

In different traditions or in different religions there are certain concepts or Doctrine that people follow and respect to dress up and to cover their body parts. 

Eastern culture: In Eastern culture people wear loose dresses and cover most Parts of the body 

Western culture: in western culture people wear short dresses and they are broad minded comparing to the people living in Eastern or Asian countries 

Personal likes and individuality: Wearing expensive and brand clothes all the time doesn’t mean that you  lose your personality. You must recognize yourself first and your personality. Refreshing colors, good outfit, neatly stitched attire increases confidence and enhances your  personality among others. 

Interesting from Islamic point of view: 

There are certain  clear sets of  instructions which we receive from Islam we can seek guidance from the Holy Quran and its instructions are quite clear for everyone .  There are many verses which we can read in Holy Quran about dressing but there is one important verse from Surah Al Aaraf # 26 which states that 

This statement refers to the Islamic belief that Allah provided clothing to Adam and his wife Hawaa as a form of covering for their private parts after they were expelled from Paradise. 

In this verse Allah states that he provides the best clothes to his believer Hazrat Adam and Hawaa to cover the private body parts. This verse tells us the significance of clothing ,as it plays a vital role to cover our private body parts and it  also protects our body from evil eyes. 

Surat Al Araf Verse number 31 also: 

highlights the significance of dressing and the proper etiquettes of clothing. IN this Ayat Allah states that

“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts, and not show  their adornment except that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their chests.”

This verse instructs women to lower their gaze, cover their private parts, and conceal their adornments from non-related men, drawing their veils over their chests. 

Guidance from Hadith for Etiquette of Dressing:

There are instructions present about ways of dressing. Holy Prophet peace be upon him said that

“When a woman reaches adulthood, it is not permissible for her to reveal anything from her body except her face and hands.” 

In the above mentioned saying the Holy Prophet instructed the women to cover their body and only allowed them to reveal their faces and hands and cover their chest as well. 

Dressing from Islamic perspective 

In Islam, there are certain ways to dress up for men and women. 

For females: 

Women can use scarf, take Shawl wear a abayas and wear proper salwar kameez to cover most part of the body .covering the head is essential part of Islam we can cover our head by using Dupatta or scarf avoiding glittery clothes do not reveal  face in front of strangers do not do not wear excessive  jewelry for others.  

For males:

males can wear kurta, salwar kameez trousers, wear loose fabric in which the body cannot be visible, and avoid  wearing gold jewelry. 

Purpose of clothing: 

The basic purpose of dress is not only to cover the body but it also adds up to dignity, respect and courtesy of an individual. By dressing in an appropriate way, we cannot only leave our good impression on others but we can also get Allah’s will. 

In Islam , clothing plays a vital role in an individual life. It not only improves our physical appearance but it also reflects our character. From an Islamic overview ,the basic purpose of dressing is to  demonstrate Shame, simplicity and modesty. 

Way of dressing for men and women 

From Islamic point of view there are separate instructions which men and women have to follow to dress up appropriately. For example ,it is necessary for males to cover their  upper body parts by wearing shirts and covering the lower body by wearing trousers. It is necessary for women to cover their chest by wearing chadar . It is essential for both men and women to refrain from wearing clothes that are tight, transparent and revealing . 

Emphasis on modesty shame treasury and simplicity:

The basic purpose of clothing is to present a human being with respect, modesty ,Shame, chastity and simplicity . modesty means to cover those body parts which are required to be covered. Chastity means to avoid in decent actions and article actions which reflects your character and the society while simplicity means to wear such dress which is simple nice and avoid extravagant expenses and where same clothes and a nice way.

For gents: Kurta salwar kameez trouser 

For ladies: Abaya chadar dupatta salwar kameez scarf 

These are the following examples of dress codes which are like in Islam these dresses can vary in style from  country to country but the purpose to wear a dress, to cover the body and to present human beings with respect and modesty is clear.

Dress is  an essential part of human life. In Islamic point of view , dress is the basic component which presents humans with respect, modesty and simplicity so, Muslims should try to follow the above mentioned rules while choosing an address.

THERE is a major difference between eastern and western point of view according to culture. In the Eastern part dresses considered very essential and teasing dresses mostly are loose and they are rich properly to cover the whole body. These dresses fulfill the basic need of dress. 

In western culture, there is a great diversity in clothing. Mostly ,in western countries nowadays loose open clothes are given priority. 

A comparative analysis of traditions and dresses modesty in different parts of the world 

There are different trends found in different cultures regarding modesty and dress designs. In Eastern culture veil is considered as a serious matter as it is also part of religion. It is compulsory for women to cover their face in some typical eastern countries. 

In eastern  countries, selection of dress depends on someone’s personal choice. However, in some parts of Western countries there are strict restrictions on wearing Hijab Similarly, choosing dresses according to different events and traditions there is a diversity in the whole world like in Eastern countries traditional dresses are considered the important part of culture while in western countries there diversity in dresses and people are free to wear dress according to their personal choice

There is a major difference in eastern and western perspective regarding dress. in Eastern culture the presence of respect modesty and simplicity has given importance while in western culture the elegance, grace  of the dress has given more priority, there are different traditions and Trends that are being followed in different cultures regarding Hijab  and dress

There are certain principles which need to focus on while choosing appropriate suitable fitting. 

Dress should fit appropriately. It should not be so tight and not too loose. Dress should not be transparent and reveal body parts 

Nice color: the selection of colors depends on weather occasion formal informal events 

Weather suitability: the selection of dress also depends on weather like in summer we have to wear light loss nice light color which can be suited to weather and in summer we have to wear wool warm nice stuff which protects our body from cold waves 

In addition to these principles, personal choice should also be respected, but the limits of personal choice must also be determined. Clothing should not be against social values ​​and traditions. Emphasis should be placed on simplicity and good fit. More important than expensive brands is that the dress should be simple and well fitting.

Choosing clothes for workers is as important as it is for other people. Workers should choose clothes that are easy for them to put on and take off because of their work.

However, the choice of dress is a personal decision but still we should keep in mind the following principles that we have discussed above.
